Mission Statement

We believe it’s time to connect the growing community of scholars exploring bureaucracy through a cultural and humanistic lens.

Interest in literature and bureaucracy is flourishing. Recent conferences, collaborations, and publications show that this once niche area is fast becoming a vibrant interdisciplinary field — one that deserves a dedicated platform, much like Law and Literature or the Medical Humanities. Our aim is to consolidate this momentum.

Bureaucritics – Cultural Bureaucracy Studies Network brings together researchers working at the crossroads of public administration, literature, and the arts — creating a shared space for dialogue, collaboration, and visibility, making connections across languages, disciplines, and borders.
